CONTACT INFORMATION: JumpingSand Ventures 312 W. 2nd Street #3201 Casper, WY 82601 Telephone: +1 (307) 441-0047 Website: JumpingSand.com Email: info@JumpingSand.com RELEASE DATE: Tuesday, July 18, 2023 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CASPER, Wyoming - JumpingSand Ventures, a privately-funded venture company with headquarters in Casper, Wyoming, announces the commencement of a unique food delivery service branded "GASTSTÄTTE JumpingSand German Home Cooking", referred to more appropriately in German as "Stammeßen Lieferugservice" (hereafter in this release referred to as "the delivery service"). A very limited menu will be offered during lunch time for free or low-fee delivery select days of the week. This is a delivery only service. This service is designed to be implemented according to current interpretation of Wyoming law, namely and specifically W.S. 11-49-101 - 11-49-103 "Wyoming Food Freedom Act of 2015" as numerously amended through 2023 which allows for the sale of homemade foods. LAW AND ORDER(ING GERMAN FOOD) The history of the Wyoming law that enables producers to sell foodstuffs directly to the general public began in 2015 when the Wyoming legislature passed one of the most comprehensive, forward-thinking laws affecting food supply in the United Sates of America: "Wyoming Food Freedom Act of 2015", amended through the years most recently as Senate Bill 102 (SF102) in 2023. The unanimous vote for the updated legislation in the House was 62-0, and 30-1 in the Senate with Senator Charles K. Scott of District 30 casting the lone "nay" vote. The esteemed Senator Scott is a 40-some year tenure politican previously serving first as a state Representative now a state Senator. He is a Cattle Rancher representing about 18,000 constituents in a sparsely-populated agricultural area due west of Casper, WY. Senator Scott certainly must have had his reasons for casting the lone "nay" vote, but the amendment passed and thankfully became effective July 1, 2023, just a few short weeks ago. According to the law as amended, producers and sellers may sell any food or food items including "potentially hazardous" items like eggs, cheese, and meat directly to the public as long as statements advertise the homemade food "is not certified, labeled, licensed, packaged, regulated or inspected." and "made in a home kitchen, is not regulated or inspected and may contain allergens". The law in Wyoming now clearly and explicitly allows food sold from a home kitchen to the public. To wit, W.S. 11‑49‑103.(d) states: "Nothing in this section shall prohibit the sale of homemade food for home consumption from a retail space located at the ranch, farm or home where the food is produced."
